      Origin

The world’s largest coffee producer, Brazil has huge influence in the global coffee market. Although producing more than a third of the world’s coffee, the growing conditions here can be challenging; producers not only have to manage the lower-than-optimal altitudes and non-volcanic soils, but also extreme climate conditions, from drought, to frost. Typically low in acidity, sweet, and heavy-bodied, Brazillian coffee is often easily distinguished and well-loved thanks to its approachable, desirable notes of chocolate and nuts.

      Supporting Women Grown

Our sourcing partner in Brazil established the Donas do Café (Women of Coffee) programme in 2018 to support women producers across every stage of coffee production. Through dedicated pre- and post-harvest training, the initiative builds technical capability while recognising the leadership of women working as farm owners, processors and quality managers. By focusing on education, access and visibility, Donas do Café helps strengthen both coffee quality and long-term resilience at origin. The programme continues to highlight producers shaping their communities and contributing to a more equitable and inclusive future for Brazilian coffee.
“Beija Flor aims to empower and celebrate female producers, supporting a platform that enables them to sell their high-quality coffee to speciality roasters, rather than on the commodity market. We work with some incredible women, and their knowledge and passion for exceptional coffee production is inspiring.”

        Get the grind right

Usually I go with an average grind and just go with it but for this coffee I adjusted it until

I got that ratio pour perfect. What a difference using the correct grind for that bean makes, it really does open up the coffee flavours making a much more satisfying shot.
